Joy Reid's "The ReidOut" is out at MSNBC as a part of a network revamp under the current presidential administration, blindsiding staffers.

According to a source acquainted with the developments, Reid's last episode is scheduled this week.

Since 2020, she has hosted "The ReidOut" on MSNBC, exploring political news and events. In the past Reid also anchored "The Reid Report" and "AM Joy" for the network.

The network refrained to comment on the developments.

Currently hosting the network's "The Weekend," Symone Sanders Townsend, Michale Steele and Alicia Menendez will now be headlining Reid's former 7 p.m. slot, sources for MSNBC claimed.

The insider underlined that Reid's show will not be the only one affected by the modifications. One of the primetime hours for the week will apparently be anchored by Jen Psaki.

After considering special assignment reporting possibilities, Alex Wagner, host of "Alex Wagner Tonight," will not be returning to the primetime slot. The source stated Wager will remain with the network as a correspondent.

The developments follow little over a month after Rashida Jones declared her intention to be leaving MSNBC. Rebecca Kutler replaced Jones. She was formerly senior vice president of content strategy.

Laid off staffers reportedly are encouraged to apply for other jobs within the network.
