Abbott Elementary Renewed for Season 5

ABC has renewed Abbott Elementary for a fifth season, continuing its reign on the network. The mockumentary comedy series, created by and starring producer and writer Quinta Brunson, continues its early pickup. With record-high streaming numbers on Hulu and Disney Plus and its timeslot viewership, the show has been on a roll since its debut in December 2021.  

Racking up awards, including Emmys for some of its cast, Abbott Elementary continues to impress critics and find new audiences. It is led by a talented cast including Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie, Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill, William Stanford Davis as Mr. Johnson and Emmy winner Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard, Janelle James as Ava Coleman, William Stanford Davis as Mr. Johnson, and Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa Schemmenti.

Its recent crossover episode with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia hit a series high, scoring over 8.05 million views. There is no official date for the season 5 debut. However, fans can expect it to premiere with the rest of the network's fall lineup.
